December 3, 2010One way to get the most out of your boat is to add trim tabs to the transom. Trim tabs are, in effect, movable extensions of the planing hull. With the "extended" hull, you can attain greater speed and stability in virtually all running conditions. The trim tabs can increase boat speed by allowing the hull to plane at lower power settings.
* They increase the pleasure of handling boats twelve feet long and longer.
* Reduce pounding and porpoising of your boat.
* Makes your engine seem more powerful because it only pushes and lets your Trim Tabs do the lifting of the stern out of the hole and during cruising speeds.
* Gets you on plane faster regardless of the boat or engine size and allows you to stay on plane at slower cruising speeds.
